Lakelands Football Club is a voluntary children and youth soccer club operating in the Stillorgan, Dundrum, Sandyford and Blackrock areas of South County Dublin. The Club has been serving the local community for almost 47 years now and has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 1978.
We provide football activities for boys and girls and young men and women of all ages. Our philosophy is to encourage children and young people of all abilities to play and enjoy football. Our Club has successfully grown to over 650 players with schoolboys’ and schoolgirls’ teams, youth boys’ and girls’ team (U8 to U18’s) and U19’s and Senior Teams, as well as a thriving Academy for younger children (U5’s,U6’s,U7’s)
Our primary home is at St Tiernan’s Community School in Balally, Sandyford where, though our years long partnership with St Tiernan’s C.S., it has become the base for our younger age groups, both for mid-week training sessions and annual events, such as the Mini World Cup and our summer camps.
Our other home pitches are at Leopardstown Park, Balally Hill, Bearna Park and Marlay Park, which are all under the auspices of Dún Laoghaire Rathdown (DLR) County Council.
Our Academy trains on the All-Weather pitches in St. Benildus College, Kilmacud.
