Lakelands Football Club is a voluntary children and youth soccer club operating in the Stillorgan, Dundrum, Sandyford and Blackrock areas of South County Dublin. The Club has been serving the local community for almost 45 years now and has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 1978.
We cater for boys and girls and young men and women of all ages. Our philosophy is to encourage children and young people of all abilities to play and enjoy football. Our Club has successfully grown to over 650 players with schoolboys’ and schoolgirls’ teams, youth boys’ and girls’ team (U8 to U18’s) and U19’s, U21’s and a Senior Team, as well as a thriving Academy for younger children (U5’s,U6’s,U7’s)
Our primary home pitches are at St Tiernan’s Community School in Balally, Sandyford. We have a partnership with St Tiernan’s and base many of our younger age groups there. We also use St Tiernan’s for some training sessions. We have held our annual Mini World Cup event there on several occassion and hope to do so again, when COVID restrictions allow.
Our other home pitches are at Leopardstown Park, Balally Hill, Bearna Park and Marlay Park, which are all under the auspices of Dún Laoghaire Rathdown (DLR) County Council.
Our teams train on All-Weather pitches in St. Benildus College, Kilmacud, at DLR Stepaside and in Colaiste Eoin, Stillorgan.
